Description

What makes this bass special:  This iconic short scale model is ideal for guitarists who like to double up on bass, but prefer the comfort of a smaller instrument.  It features an SG style body with a slender neck profile.  The single humbucker delivers a warm, robust tone with a sweet, rich resonance.  Professionally set up by us with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds great!

Cosmetic Condition:  A great player's grade bass with lots of wear & tear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & finish wear.  The back of the neck shows a professional headstock repair.  The work was very well done & the repair is solid with no playability issues.

Neck:  Slender mahogany neck with beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard & mother of pearl dot inlays.  Original frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them.  Original chrome tuners are in perfect working condition.  1 1/2" nut width; 30 1/2" scale length.  Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.

Body:  SG-style solid mahogany body in original cherry finish.  Top-loading bridge with adjustable nylon saddles.  Bridge cover is missing.  3-ply black pickguard has warped a bit & a small piece has chipped off.  Bass weighs 7 lbs 7.3 oz.

Pickup:  Original neck humbucker with chrome cover.  Master volume & tone controls with original "witch hat" knobs.  Pots date to '69.  All electronics are in good working condition.

Case:  Unoriginal Epiphone hardshell case included.
