Description
What makes this guitar special: Super cool vintage vibe & a dynamite player with some nice mods - changed tuners & Bigsby tremolo. Sweet action & superb tone, complete with a pro set up from our own luthier, so it's guaranteed to play great straight out of the case!
Cosmetic Condition: Very nice condition overall - obviously used, but certainly not abused - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some finish wear, particularly on the gold hardware. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl double parallelogram inlays. Original frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. The original Kluson Deluxe tuners were replaced with Grover Pat Pend Rotomatics, but the original tuners are included. 1 9/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is functioning.
Body: Double-bound, semi-hollow maple body with dual F-holes. The original trapeze tailpiece was replaced with a Bigsby tremolo, but the original is included with the guitar. ABR-1 bridge with nylon saddles. 5-ply black pickguard shows some pick scratches, but no cracks. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 8.6 oz.
Pickups: Original Gibson Pat No humbuckers with black bezels. Bridge - 8.25K ohms; Neck - 7.57K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with black "witch hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch & 6-way Varitone knob. The current toggle switch is a newer Switchcraft, but the original is included with the guitar. The Varitone switch plate is missing. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Vintage Guild hardshell case included. The case has a slight musty odor & some tears in the tolex, but still serves its purpose well.
