Description

What makes this guitar special: This is a great-sounding lawsuit-era Masada single cutaway. Most everything on it feels like the guitar it is attempting to copy, but the pickups have a bit more vintage vibe and overall character that keeps it distinct without losing the classic characteristics of an HH solid body. The neck is warm and full, the middle position is robust with some cut, and the bridge has nice crunch and bite, all of which has a bit of vintage mojo that adds a little extra character, especially in the transition from the midrange to highs. The body itself is surprisingly clean for a 40+ year old instrument and the binding has a charming patina that complements its gold hardware.

Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall, especially considering its age. It does possess various nicks, dings, dents, chips, drill holes (from missing guard), scratches, and other forms of wear, but still remains in great shape for a 40+ year old guitar. The frets show light to mild wear but are even, still play great, and still have a good amount of life left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod is functioning.

Body: Single cutaway solid body in Black finish. Missing pickguard. Gold tune-o-matic style bridge and stop bar tailpiece. Black witch hat knobs with silver inserts. 3-ply top and back binding.

Neck: Medium depth C shape neck and bound rosewood fingerboard with figured acrylic block inlays. Gold sealed tuning machines. 1 11/16” nut width. 25” scale length.

Electronics: Humbucking pickups in the neck and bridge. 2 x volume, 2 x tone controls. 3-way pickup selector.

Neck: 7.84k Ohms

Bridge: 7.86k Ohms

Weight: 8 lbs 8.2 oz

Playability/Sound: The neck is comfortable and easy-playing and should be a familiar shape to a wide variety of players. The pickups sound great in all three positions, with a warm, full, and round neck, a meaty low end and top end chime in the middle position, and crunchy bite in the bridge, all of which has a vintage sheen that gives the whole sound some extra character.

Case: Includes original hardshell case.
