Description
What makes this guitar special: Great player's grade Les Paul Deluxe with some unoriginal parts & a decent headstock repair. Nice cherry finish with killer sounding P-90s. Comes with a pro set up from Cream City Music, so it's guaranteed to play perfectly.
Cosmetic Condition: Cool, true vintage look with lots of road wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, buckle rash & finish wear. There's a crack in the headstock that was repaired with two dowels just above the volute & then finished over. There are three holes in the top of the body where a Bigsby was about to be placed.
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. The neck was refretted with medium jumbo frets which show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them. Unoriginal Grover Rotomatic tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & plays great!
Body: Solid, two-piece "sandwich" mahogany body with maple top & cream binding. Stopbar tailpiece & ABR-1 bridge with adjustable saddles. The high E saddle is unoriginal. Single-ply cream pickguard has a small crack near the screw. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 15 oz.
Pickups: Original P-90 "soapbar" single coils with cream covers. The bezel rings are missing. Bridge - 8.64K ohms; Neck - 8.13K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with unoriginal gold "top hat" knobs. Jack plate is also unoriginal. Pots date to '72. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included - a little rough with one broken latch, but still serves its purpose well.
