Description
Cosmetic Condition: Cool vintage vibe - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & weather checking. There are few spots around the body where the binding is deteriorating a bit, but for the most part it's not too bad. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & red micro side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with pearloid "thumbnail" inlays. Original frets are in great shape with no wear. Bound headstock with mother of pearl Gretsch logo. Roc Jet Model name plate with one rivet missing. Chrome tuners in perfect working condition. The G tuner is slightly bent, but still functions properly. 1 11/16" nut width with zero fret; 24 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Single-cutaway, semi-hollow mahogany body with bound top finished in black. "G" Cutout tailpiece with adjustable bridge. Silver plexi pickguard with black Gretsch logo. No cracks or breaks in the guard. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 10 oz.
Pickups: Gretsch SuperTron humbuckers with silver bezels. The bezels have a few cracks & chips. Dual volume & tone controls along with master volume, all with "G" Arrow knobs; 3-way toggle switch.
Playability / Sound: Nice action - neck plays well & is comfortable. Sweet, rich tone with nice dynamics.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
