Description

What makes this guitar special: A great vintage player with a cool aesthetic and a unique look, this MK-35 is one of a limited number produced between 1975-1978. Increasingly rare, these models are underrated in terms of their playability, with tone that far exceeds their price point. Solid wood construction and unique adornments make them a great addition to any collection, especially for the buyer on a budget. This piece has been professionally setup by our in-house luthier, so it plays and sounds terrific.

Cosmetic condition: Very good overall shape, with surface and playwear scratches throughout the instrument, some pickwear scratching on the top, and moderate finish checking. Various small dents, dings, and scuffs, as well as some binding shrinking and finish wear on the edges of the fingerboard. There are two light cracks on the headstock above the tuners, but the wood has not separated, nor do these affect the integrity of the construction. The peg holes have worn down over time, so a couple of the bridge pins are loose, but this in no way affects playability or intonation.

Body: Solid double bound mahogany body with solid spruce top in natural finish with asymmetrical bridge and black bridge pins, along with raised two ring rosette.

Weight: 4lb, 5.5oz

Neck: Solid mahogany neck with aged white side dots and mother-of-pearl dot inlays. Rosewood fingerboard is in fantastic shape and showcases plenty of beautiful variegation. Frets are in great shape too, with some wear, but a lot of life left in them. Gibson nickel tuners work perfectly. 1 11/16” nut width, with 25 1/4" scale length. Neck is straight and truss rod functions as it should.

Case: Original hard shell case included.
