Description
What makes this guitar special: An exceptionally well crafted dreadnought built during a time when many acoustic manufacturers were producing an inferior guitar. The overall fit & finish is high quality & the attention to detail is second to none. Professionally set up by Cream City Music with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds wonderful.
Cosmetic Condition: The guitar has seen better days & shows signs of typical play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. There are two repaired cracks - one in the bass side of the body, from about the middle of the waist to the curve of the lower bout. The other is in the top, treble side, lower bout. Both were professionally glued & cleated by our luthier. Inside the guitar there's some brown splatter stains - not exactly sure what caused that. Overall the guitar has a great, well-played look to it, with a cool vintage vibe & gorgeous patina.
Neck: Mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Beautiful ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Grover Rotomatic tuners are in perfect working condition. All the tuners appear to be nickel aside from the low E tuner, which looks chrome. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length.
Body: Double-bound dreadnought body with solid spruce top & 'checkerboard' purfling. Ebony bridge with cream end pins. Tortoise pickguard & 'checkerboard' rosette. The label inside shows the signatures of all the employees involved in the building of the guitar. Solid rosewood back & sides with herringbone center strip. There is no pickup. Guitar weighs 4 lbs 10.2 oz.
Case: TKL hardshell case included.
