Cosmetic Condition: Good condition for its age with the typical wear & tear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & finish wear. There's quite a bit of 'hazing' or 'orange peel' effect in the body finish. This is typically caused from a chemical reaction the finish has with being in the case for a long period of time. This is also evidenced by the red fuzziness stuck to the neck area of the body & a little bit on the top of the headstock. These finish flaws are purely cosmetic & do not affect sound quality or playability.
Neck: Nicely rounded, chunky maple neck & fingerboard with black dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Headstock decals are also in fine condition with no pieces missing. Fender tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 34" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in black. Top-loading bridge with four adjustable barrel saddles & bridge cover. 3-ply black pickguard is in great shape with only the tiniest crack down by the input jack. The thumb-rest is missing. The serial number underneath the pickguard matches the serial number on the headstock. Bass weighs 11.20 lbs.
Pickups: Original split single coils with original chrome cover. Master volume & tone controls with knurled knobs. Pots date to '78 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
