Description: Vintage 1979 8-String Dobro Resonator Acoustic Guitar
Condition: Very good overall. Various surface scratches, nicks, dings, dents and some weather checking throughout the finish. Some of the metal parts have some corrosion but are working perfectly. Fingerboard and frets are pristine. All parts are original and in perfect working condition.
Body: Double-bound body with maple top, back and sides in sunburst finish. Trapeze tailpiece, fan cover plate, spider bridge over the resonator cone and a maple sound well. Dual screen sound holes on either shoulder with three holes directly beneath the fingerboard.
Neck: Square maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, pearled dot inlays and 2 5/16" nut. Slotted peg head with closed gear nickel tuners, 24.5" scale length.
Weight: 7lbs, 0.0oz.
Playability/Sound: This resonator has excellent overall volume and resonance. The tone has a very "sweet" sound with very even highs, mids and lows. The 8-string design adds plenty of versatility allowing the player to use a multitude of tunings and playing style. The neck width and string spacing is very comfortable and suitable for any playing style.
Case: Includes hardshell case with "Picker's Choice" strings and a steel slide.
