What’s special about this bass: This is a great sounding vintage P-Bass with phenomenal playability and it is super clean for a bass from 1979! The pickup sounds exceptional, the neck is super comfortable and everything is in perfect working shape. The sunburst finish is particularly eye catching on this piece and has an authentic vintage look. This is an exceptional vintage P-Bass at a very affordable price!
Condition: Great shape for being over 30 years old! There are various scratches, small nicks, dings, dents, a few small chips and some weather checking throughout the bass. There aare some nicks on the back of the neck and though they are easy to feel, they really don’t affect playability. The fingerboard and frets are in very good shape with only moderate play wear. This bass has ben re-fretted and the neck is very comfortable with great action up and down the fingerboard and the truss rod functions perfectly.
Body: Solid contoured ash body in a three-tone sunburst finish. The ash has some nice wood grain that shows through the finish nicely. Top-load bridge with four individual saddles. Dual knurled control knobs, a 3-ply black pickguard and a thumb rest. Chrome covers for the bridge and pickup.
Neck: slender maple neck with a skunk stripe down the back. Rosewood veneer fingerboard with white dot inlays and a 1 11/16” nut. Open-gear Fender tuners and a 34” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Original split single-coil pickup with master volume and tone controls. The pot codes are covered in solder but are period correct.
