Description
What’s special about this guitar: This is a vintage 1979 gibson “The Paul” with a killer sound! Features include a contoured mahogany body, slender mahogany neck, original Patent Number pickups and a natural finish. This guitar is in very good shape for its age, plays phenomenally well and to top it all off, is all original!
Condition: Very good shape especially for its age! There are various scratches, nicks, dings, dents and chips throughout the guitar with some heavy buckle rash on the back that has worn through to the bare wood. The guitar has just enough play wear to give it an authentic vintage look! The fingerboard and frets have moderate play wear and plenty of life left in them. The neck is nice and comfortable with great action and the truss rod functions perfectly. One of the screws for the neck pickup ring broke off inside the guitar (see photos), otherwise all electronics and parts are original and in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid contoured mahogany body in natural finish. Stop-Bar Tailpiece, Tune-O-Matic bridge and speed control knobs.
Neck: Slender mahogany neck with an Ebony fingerboard. Pearloid dot inlays and a 1 11/16” nut. Grover tuners, 24.75” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Original Gibson Patent Number humbuckers in the neck and bridge with dual volume and tone controls and a 3-way selector switch.
Neck: 7.55K Ohms.
Bridge: 7.45K Ohms.
Weight: 8lbs, 13.5oz.
Case: Includes the original hardshell case. One of the latches on the case is broken. Otherwise it functions fine.
