What makes this guitar special: Fantastic shape for its age & a superb player with gorgeous tone & feel. The beautiful floral inlays in the fingerboard & headstock give the guitar a very unique look along with the old style script logo. Additional features include the TP-6 adjustable tailpiece & built-in string winders in the tuners. The double humbuckers sound amazing, creating warm, rich tones with marvelous sustain. The guitar has been professionally set up by Cream City Music with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds fabulous.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition overall for its age with minimal play wear - various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & pick wear. Some of the gold has tarnished on the hardware, but for the most part it still looks great.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with large volute. Cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl floral inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Multi-bound headstock with vintage style script logo & mother of pearl floral inlays. Gold Gibson tuners with built-in "winders" in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in good working condition.
Body: Solid mahogany body with maple cap. Multi-bound top & back. TP-6 adjustable tailpiece with Tune-O-Matic bridge & gold hardware. 5-ply black pickguard is in great shape with no cracks, but does show some pick wear. Unoriginal black strap locks. Guitar weighs 11.05 lbs.
Pickups: Gibson humbuckers with gold covers & black bezels. Bridge - 15.73K ohms; Neck - 15.38K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with black speed knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original "chainsaw" hardshell case included. The bottom latch is broken, but the case is in other great shape.
