Description
What makes this guitar special: 100% original & in great shape for its age. Finished in a gorgeous tobacco sunburst, this superb LP Deluxe is a real honey of a guitar. She's a bit weighty, but hey, some players like 'em hefty. Arrives with a pro set up from the experts at Cream City Music.
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape with mild play wear - some minor nicks & dings; surface scratches & some mild finish disturbances, most notably on the back of the body where the finish chemically reacted to the lining of the case thereby leaving a slightly fuzziness in the finish. A little bit of this can also be seen on the back of the neck behind the 9th fret. There are also a couple of tiny "burn marks" on either side of the headstock from hanging on a guitar hook. Overall, though, the guitar is pretty clean & has a great vintage vibe to it.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Super dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. Frets are in great shape with practically no wear. Gibson-engraved tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid mahogany body with plain maple top & cream binding. Stopbar tailpiece & Tune-O-Matic bridge. Single-ply cream pickguard & metal jackplate. Guitar weighs 11.1 oz
Electronics: Gibson mini humbuckers with cream bezels. Bridge - 6.10K ohms; Neck - 6.35K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with gold speed knobs; 3-way toggle switch. Pots date to '80 & '81, and all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
