What makes this guitar special: 100% original & recently acquired from the original owner who kept the guitar in excellent condition over the years. This is a rare Takamine acoustic archtop designed for jazz & features a solid spruce top. An exceptionally well-built guitar that offers superb tone & playability. Professionally set up by our own luthier & currently fitted with flatwound strings.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition & very clean with very little wear - some minor nicks, dings & mild surface scratches. Overall the guitar is in great shape for its age & everything is in perfect working condition.
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with some light wear & plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with rosewood overlay. Takamine Kaman tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in perfect working condition.
Body: Single cutaway, jumbo body with arched top & back. Solid spruce top with 7-ply binding. Bound, round soundhole with 7-ply rosette. Triple-loop, brass trapeze tailpiece with input jack. Art Deco bridge appears to be a species of ebony with a compensated saddle. There is no pickguard. The back & sides appear to be a species of rosewood & show off some beautiful grain patterns & variegation in the wood. The back is also arched with 6-ply binding. 17" lower bout width; 4 1/4" depth. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 7.8 oz.
Pickup: Active preamp with EQ & Gain sliders in perfect working condition.
