Description
What makes this guitar special: 100% original & in great shape for its age. A fun, little rocking guitar with two single coils & a body that's slightly smaller than a Strat. The cherry sunburst finish really pops & the guitar is fairly light weight. Professionally set up by our luthier with low action & fresh strings, so it plays great! It was a Lead II once owned by Eric Clapton that started the now famous Hard Rock Cafe guitar collection.
Cosmetic Condition: Used, but not abused with some typical play wear - various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & light finish wear.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with skunk stripe & black dot inlays. Frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them. Headstock decals are in great shape & very clean. F-tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in good working condition. Neck dates to '82.
Body: Contoured, solidbody finished in cherry sunburst. Hardtail bridge with adjustable saddles. 3-ply black pickguard shows pick wear, but no cracks. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 15.7 oz.
Pickups: Two specially designed X-1 single coil pickups, one at the neck, and the other at the bridge. Three-position pickup selector switch (neck, neck and bridge, bridge), two-position phase shift switch (in phase, out of phase) which operates only when both pickups are selected (middle position).
