Description
What makes this guitar special: A really nice player's grade Explorer with wonderful tone & playability. The perfectly shaped neck is super smooth & plays great up & down the fretboard. The double humbuckers sound absolutely amazing & kick out some truly stellar tones. Professionally set up & ready for action upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & some weather checking. There are a couple of previous routs that have been filled, namely under the tailpiece (probably from a previous Kahler bridge) & another large, oval-shaped rout in between the control knobs. Due to the guitar being refinished both filled routs are difficult to see & blend in well with the finish. There's a superficial crack in the back of the body coming out of the control cavity & running across the treble side. There's some finish disruption on either side of the headstock, most likely from a guitar stand. Overall the guitar has a cool look to it & plays exceptionally well.
Neck: Rounded mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Gold Gibson mini tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Solid mahogany body. Stopbar tailpiece & Tune-O-Matic bridge with gold hardware. Unoriginal, single-ply white pickguard. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 8.3 oz.
Electronics: Gibson humbuckers with black bezels. Bridge - 15.75K ohms; Neck - 15.47K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with gold speed knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
