Description
What makes this guitar special: A limited edition model from Ovation's Collectors Series, this gorgeous guitar features a shallow bowl with the oak leaf design top in a nutmeg finish. Professionally set up by the experts at Cream City Music, so it plays & sounds great.
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape for being over 30 years old - various minor nicks, dings & mild surface scratches. There are some areas on the back of the neck that show some milkiness in the finish. Not exactly sure what caused that, but it appears to be some type of chemical reaction in the finish. Overall the guitar is pretty clean & sounds great.
Neck: Soft V-shaped mahogany & maple neck with cream side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with diamond inlays. 1984 Collectors inlay in the 12th fret. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Gold Schaller tuners with ebonoid buttons in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod functions fine.
Body: Single-cutaway with solid spruce top in nutmeg finish & 7-ply binding. Rear-loading rosewood bridge with compensated saddle & "oak leaf" soundholes. Lyracord shallow bowl finished in black. Guitar weighs 5 lbs 1.1 oz.
Electronics: On-board electronics with concentric volume & tone controls.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with an Ovation owner's manual. The serial number written in the manual does not match the serial inside the guitar.
