Description

Just recently acquired from the family of the original owner is this very rare, early Carvin solid body electric guitar made in Covina, California. Featuring a maple neck bolted to a solid maple body & loaded with a pair of Carvin AP-6 single coils. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it plays & sounds terrific!

Cosmetic Condition: Really nice shape actually considering it's over 60 years old & well-cared for - various little nicks, chips, dents & dings along with surface scratches.

Neck: Chunky maple neck with a 14" radius rosewood fingerboard & mother of pearl dot inlays. 19 frets show a tiny bit of wear, but have plenty of life in them. Kluson Deluxe tuners with white buttons & single string tree. 1 9/16" nut width; 25 1/8" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.

Body: Two-piece solid maple body in natural satin finish. Stop tailpiece & compensated bridge with original cover. Single-ply black pickguard & nickel hardware. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 1.2 oz.

Electronics: Carvin AP-6 single coils with 3-way toggle switch. Dual volume & tone controls with skirted knobs. Pots date to '62 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.

Case: Original hardshell case included.
