You wouldn't guess just by looking at it, but this slope shoulder beauty produces a really big, powerful sound with a warm, rich tone. The previous owner replaced the original adjustable saddle, which is why the guitar sounds so amazing. McCartney had one from '64 & this one is almost as cool as his. Professionally set up & ready to play upon arrival, this fabulous Texan is guaranteed to please.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. There are several top cracks, a few of which have been repaired, but overall the guitar has a wonderful, authentic vintage vibe & shows off a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl parallelogram inlays. Frets show a bit of wear, but have plenty of life in them. Elongated headstock with mother of pearl inlay. Kluson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 9/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & plays great up & down the fretboard.
Body: Double-bound, slope shoulder dreadnought in sunburst finish. Solid spruce top with replacement rosewood bridge & saddle. Tortoise pickguard with & multi-ring rosette. Mahogany back & sides with cream binding. Guitar weighs 4 lbs 4.3 oz.
