The double single coils sound marvelous & deliver gorgeous, dynamic tones. Cosmetic Condition: This one has just the right look that's perfectly aged with only good, honest play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, buckle rash, mild weather checking & some light finish wear. Overall the guitar looks fantastic with an ultra cool, true vintage vibe & shows off a beautiful patina.
Neck: Somewhat chunky maple neck with beautiful Brazilian rosewood fingerboard & clay dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Kluson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck stamp reads 4 JAN 63 B.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in 3-Tone Sunburst. Tremolo tailpiece with original arm included. Six-saddle adjustable bridge with original cover included. 4-ply tortoise pickguard is in great shape with no cracks & only minimal warping. Guitar weighs about 8 lbs - great weight & very resonant!
Electronics: Original single coils with cream covers. Bridge - 8.95K ohms; Neck - 8.33K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with 3-way toggle switch. Pots date to '61 & '63 & all electronics are in good working condition. The slider switch is a bit scratchy at times, but everything functions.
Case: Original brown hardshell case included. The right clasp is severely bent & doesn't lock anymore, but the others are fine.
