Description
This lovely little Mandocaster looks super cool & is tons of fun to play. The neck dates to July 1964, but the wiring & pots date to '73. Professionally inspected & set up by the experts at Cream City Music, so it's ready for action upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: Wonderful shape for its age & very clean for the most part. Various little nicks & dings along with surface scratches, but overall it's in very nice condition. 2692704 D.S. is scratched into the neck plate.
Neck: Maple neck with Brazilian rosewood fingerboard & clay dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Kluson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 1/8" nut width; 14" scale length. Neck is straight & plays great up & down the fretboard. Neck stamp reads JUL 64.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body in 3-tone sunburst finish. Top-loading bridge with two adjustable saddles & original bridge cover. 4-ply tortoise pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Mandolin weighs a delightful 3 lbs 10.3 oz.
Electronics: One black bottom, single-coil pickup with brown cover - 5.68K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with knurled knobs. Both pots date to '73 & all electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
