Description
An ultra cool, second-year Mustang refinished in Olympic White & sporting a silky smooth neck that plays great up & down the fretboard. These have always been a favorite here at Cream City Music & thanks to a pro set up from our in-house tech, it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape for being 60 years old with only some mild play wear - light surface scratches along with various tiny dents & dings. The body was refinished quite some time ago in Olympic White that has aged beautifully over the years & mellowed into more of a cream color with nice variegation throughout the body. Overall the guitar looks wonderful & has an ultra cool, true vintage vibe to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard & mother of pearl dot inlays. The neck has also been refinished & has a replacement headstock decal. Professionally refretted with bigger frets that are clean with no wear. The nut was replaced when the guitar was refretted. The nut is a bit narrow & does not extend across the entire width of the fingerboard, but works just fine. Fender F-logo tuners with white buttons. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck dates to NOV 65.
Body: Offset, solid poplar body refinished in Olympic White. Dynamic Vibrato tailpiece with newer trem arm. Adjustable bridge with "barrel" saddles & original cover. 3-ply red pearloid pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 6.1 oz.
Electronics: Original grey bottom single coils with white covers. Master volume & tone controls with black knobs. Dual white slider switches work great. Pots date to '65 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
