Description
With the exception of the volume pot, the bass is all original with an ultra cool, true vintage vibe. Just recently acquired from the original owner, it shows off plenty of good, honest play wear. Superb tone & feel with a warm, rich voice that makes it tough to put down. You just feel like playing it for days on end. A pro set up from the experts at Cream City Music ensures the bass is ready to hit the stage upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: The perfect vintage look - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, buckle rash, weather checking & some finish wear. Overall the bass has a great look to it with tons of vintage mojo & a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Maple neck with black side-dots. There's some gorgeous flame & bird's eye figuring in the back of the neck & front of the headstock. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Fender nickel tuners are in good working condition. The E tuner is slightly bent, but still functions properly. Neck dates to '71 & truss rod works fine.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body in 3-tone sunburst finish. Top-loading bridge with four adjustable "barrel" saddles & original bridge cover. 4-ply tortoise pickguard is in great shape with no cracks & has its original black finger-rest. Bass weighs a wonderful 8 lbs 10.4 oz.
Electronics: Split single coil - 9.89K ohms with original pickup cover. Master volume & tone controls with knurled knobs. Volume pot dates to '75, but the tone pot is original & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included. There are multiple stickers/decals on the outside of the case left by the previous owner that we decided to leave on.
