Description
We've had lots of vintage P-Basses in the shop over the years, but to come across one with a poplar body is a rare find indeed! This one is in great shape, light weight & very resonant - in short, super cool! Professionally inspected & set up by the experts here at Cream City Music, so it's ready to rock straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Really great shape for being over 50 years old with only mininal play wear - various minor finish chips, surface scratches, etc. The bass has an authentic vintage look to it with a great vibe & beautiful patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded maple neck with rosewood fingerboard & mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Nickel Fender tuners work great. 1 5/8" nut width; 34" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck dates to March of '69.
Body: Contoured, solid poplar body finished in 3-tone sunburst. Top-loading bridge with four adjustable "barrel" saddles. 4-ply tortoise pickguard with black tugbar. Bass weighs a delightful 8 lbs 8.6 oz.
Electronics: Original split single coil with master volume & tone controls. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
