Description
A vintage 1961 Fender Showman 115 piggyback amp in exceptional condition. This rare amp is extremely clean--one of the cleanest ones we've ever seen, and aside from a replacement cabinet handle, the amp is all original. The original JBL D130 speaker cone has a split that has been repaired, with no negative effect on tone. Additionally, we replaced a few caps to bring the harmonic tremolo circuit back to its original glory. The original capacitors that were replaced will be included with the amp. Beyond these changes, the circuitry is 100% original down to the rare Triad 45945 output transformer. Also included are an original footswitch (missing back plate) and original speaker cord.
Sound-wise, the amp is Brownface at its best--with warm cleans that jump out of the super-sensitive JBL speaker while retaining the midrange "chunk" that is missing in blackface-era amps. It also features the coolest tremolo you have ever heard. This rare amplifier has been cleaned and tested. It is fully functional and sounds incredible.
