Description
A dynamite player with an exceptionally comfortable feel & gorgeous tone! Everything dates to '72 except the pickups, which date to '73. Still has the 3-way selector switch & thanks to a pro set up from the experts here at Cream City Music, the guitar plays great!
Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear, just the way we like to see them - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. The neck & middle pickup body routes were routed just a little deeper & the clear coat removed, but it's not too bad really. Thankfully they were not widened & still look pretty clean. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a cool, vintage vibe & beautiful patina.
Neck: Maple neck & fingerboard with black dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Oversize headstock with bullet truss rod & single string tree. Headstock decals are in great shape with no bits missing. F-logo tuners work great. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck stamp reads 22 MAY 72 B.
Body: Contoured, solid ash body in Natural finish. Tremolo bridge with adjustable saddles. New trem arm & unoriginal trem cover, but it looks super cool! 3-ply whote pickguard has aged nicely into more of a cream color & is in great shape with no cracks.
Guitar weighs 7 lbs 8.3 oz.
Electronics: Three grey-bottom single coils all date to '73. Bridge - 5.41K ohms; Middle - 5.42K ohms; Neck - 6.04K ohms. Master volume & dual tone controls with original 3-way selector switch. Pots date to '72 & all electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included. The right latch is missing along with most of the Fender logo on the outside of the case. There's also some paint & writing on the outside of the case as well.
