Description: Vintage Framus Model 5/150 Star Bass Hollow Body Electric Bass Guitar
Condition: Very good overall. Various light surface scratches, a few small dings and some weather checking throughout the finish. Finish ir original and in overall great condition! The neck has a slight warp where it meets the body which resulted in higher action. We added several shims to the neck heel to compensate for this with excellent results! Truss rod is in perfect working condition. Fingerboard and frets have very light play wear and tons of life left in them. All electronics and parts are original and in excellent working condition.
Body: Double-bound single cutaway hollow-body with maple top, back and sides in sunburst finish. There is some nice flame figuring throughout the back. Trapeze tailpiece, height-adjustable nickel saddle with four saddles, skirted control knobs, thumb rest, dual bound “F” holes and a tortoise control plate.
Neck: Maple neck with bound rosewood fingerboard, pearloid dot inlays, zero fret and a 1 3/8” nut. Nickel tuners, 30” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Original single-coil Framus pickups with dual on/of switches, dual volume controls and a master tone control.
Neck: 4.97K Ohms.
Bridge: 5.11K Ohms.
Weight: 6lbs, 8.0oz.
Playability/Sound: This bass has an awesome vintage vibe. The hollow-body design combines with the pickups results on an open sound that is still very full. It is a one-of-a-kind bass with a sound all its own. The slim neck is extremely comfortable and suitable for any playing style.
