Description
A super cool hollowbody offering a rich, dynamic tone with some gorgeous flame figuring in the back of the neck. Professionally set up & ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. The top has sunken in somewhat & there is a wooden post inside the body wedged inbetween the top & back for support. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with an authentic vintage vibe & nice patina.
Neck: Slender profile, 3-piece maple neck with lots of gorgeous flame figuring. Nicely aged cream binding with tortoise side-dots. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl "bowtie" inlays. Frets show a little bit of wear, but have plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with mother of pearl musical note inlay. Pat Pend. Grover Rotomatic tuners work perfectly. 1 9/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Unoriginal, customized metal truss rod cover.
Body: Hollow maple body with double Florentine cutaways & dual bound F-holes. There's some light flame & birdseye figuring in the top & back. 3-ply top & back binding. Trapeze tailpiece with Barney Kessel badge. ABR-1 bridge with nylon saddles on a floating rosewood base. 5-ply black pickguard & gold hardware. 17" lower bout width & about 3" depth. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 6.2 oz.
Electronics: Gibson Pat No. humbuckers with black bezels. Bridge - 7.49K ohms; Neck - 7.93K ohms. The pickups are out of phase in the middle position. The solder points look original so this is most likely how it was when it left the factory. Dual volume & tone controls with black "witch hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
