What’s special about this lap steel: This is a great sounding vintage Gibson BR-6 with a fantastic sound and excellent playability. Features include the original Gibson single-coil pickup, guitar shaped body with a bound top, square neck with great string spacing and an awesome vintage sunburst finish! This instrument produces a very clear sound with plenty of output and sustain. The tone control is very responsive and perfect for obtaining a warmer sound!
Condition: Very good shape overall! There are various scratches, nicks, dings, dents, chips and weather checking throughout the instrument. Ultimately it has just the right amount of play wear for an awesome authentic vintage look! The fingerboard has some scratches, nicks and dings but all frets are still clearly visible. The tuner buttons have been replaced as the originals crumbled off. The volume control knob and pot have been replaced. There is a very slight scratchy noise only audible when the volume is turned up all the way, otherwise the electronics all function perfectly.
Body: Solid mahogany body with a bound top in sunburst finish. Nickel tailpiece/bridge with a gold plastic control panel and pickup cover. Dual speed control knobs.
Neck: Square mahogany neck with a black fingerboard with gold frets and fret position markers. 2 ¼” metal nut. Three-on-a-strip nickel tuners with ivoroid buttons, 22.5” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Original Gibson single-coil pickup with master volume and tone controls.
