An ultra cool Showcase Edition Chet Atkins CE finished in sunburst. A silky smooth player that's been professionally set up by the experts here at Cream City Music, so it's ready to perform straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Marvelous condition - very clean & still like new with only some mild surface scratches along with a few tiny dents & dings.
Neck: Nicely rounded mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard & cream side-dots. Frets are clean with no wear. Slotted headstock with rosewood overlay. Gibson classical-style tuners with pearloid buttons. There's a plaque on the back of the headstock that reads MADE FOR BILL JOHNSON BY GIBSON USA. Showcase Edition is below that. 1 13/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Contoured, solid mahogany body. Spruce top in sunburst finish with 4-ply binding. Classical-style rosette with Chet Atkins Gibson soundhole cover & rosewood bridge. There's a tiny gap at the center base of the bridge, but it is still quite firmly attached to the top. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 11.8 oz.
Electronics: Active electronics with side-mounted volume & tone control wheels. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
