Description
What makes this guitar special: Made for only a short time, around '83 to '85, the Designer Series Explorer features unique custom design graphics on the top of the body, in this case a trio of silver, grey & black lines. Additional features include a Gibson-embossed Kahler tremolo bridge with locking nut, Grover mini tuners & a pair of dynamite sounding humbuckers. Professionally inspected & set up by the experts at Cream City Music, so it's ready for action upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: Really nice shape with typical play wear for its age - various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, light weather checking & some mild finish wear. The white finish has indeed aged over the years & shows off nice variegation throughout. Overall the guitar has an ultra cool look with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Grover mini tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width with locking nut; 24 3/4" scale length.
Body: Solid mahogany body with designer graphics. Kahler locking tremolo with adjustable roller saddles & original trem arm included. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 6.2 oz.
Electronics: Gibson exposed coil humbuckers with black bezels. Bridge - 15.03K ohms; Neck - 15.21K ohms. Dual volume & master tone controls with black speed knobs; 3-way toggle switch. Pots date to '84 & all electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
