Description
A decent player's grade Dove that's not much to look at, but it does offer a rich, warm tone. Would also make a great luthier's project to bring it up to full potential - could use some bridge work & a couple of the back braces are missing. Plays & sounds good as is.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & finish cracking. The guitar has been completely refinished in black. There is a hole in the side of the body from a previous input jack. A couple of back braces are missing & portion of the bridge is also missing. The bridge is lifting up from the back & the top is sinking in a bit. Despite all this, the guitar still holds tune & plays rather nicely.
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl double parallelogram inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Kluson "waffle back" tuners in good working condition. 1 9/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length.
Body: Square shoulder dreadnought with multi-layer top & back binding. Rosewood bridge with mother of pearl Dove inlays. Again the front portion of the bridge is missing. ABR-1 bridge with adjustable nylon saddles. Unoriginal pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Maple back & sides. The guitar was completely & poorly refinished in black. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 4 lbs 15 oz.
Case: Hardshell case included.
