The slender profile neck is very comfortable & plays great anywhere on the fretboard. As an added bonus, the guitar comes with a gorgeous Lifton 5-latch hardhsell case with brown tolex & pink interior - now how cool is that!
Cosmetic Condition: Wonderful condition for being over 60 years old with signs of only mild play wear - various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & light weather checking. There's a slight crack in the bottom portion of the tailpiece, but it seems to be holding just fine for the time being. There are a couple of very faint "ghosting" images of stars on either side of the toggle switch from previous decals. They are very light & hardly noticeable. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with an authentic vintage vibe & beautiful patina.
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show only a tiny bit of wear & have tons of life in them. Kluson Deluxe strip tuners with cream buttons. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-bound, thin hollow maple body with dual F-holes & Florentine cutaway. The rims show off some really nice flame figuring while the top has just a tiny bit of bird's eye. Nickel trapeze tailpiece with a gold-plated ABR-1 bridge on a floating rosewood base. The original compensated rosewood bridge is included with the guitar. Single-ply tortoise pickguard is in great shape. The guitar weighs a delightful 5 lbs 8.4 oz & is exceptionally resonant!
Electronics: Two P-90 single coils with black "dog ear" covers. Both pickups are fairly evenly matched at about 8.44K ohms each. Dual volume & tone controls with gold "top hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Vintage Lifton 5-latch brown hardshell case included. The handle is a replacement, but the original is included.
