Second-year production model in great shape, showing off some nice figuring in the maple. But the real magic lies in the Moog electronics, featuring 3 mini toggles for compressor, expander & bright boost. Professionally set up & ready for action straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Pretty good shape for being 41 years old, but there are signs of some play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some light finish wear/blemishes. Overall the guitar has a cool, true vintage look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Slim taper flame maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Typical small frets in great shape with no practically no wear. Bound headstock with mother of pearl inlays. Gibson diecast tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Semi-hollow maple body finished in 3-tone sunburst. 7-ply bound top & 3-ply bound back. TP-6 tailpiece with unoriginal nickel Tune-O-Matic bridge. The rest of the hardware is original gold. Tortoise pickguard with 5-ply binding. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 4.2 oz.
Electronics: Gibson Pat No. humbuckers with black bezels. Master volume, bass & treble controls with black speed knobs. 3-way toggle switch; Moog electronics with 3 mini switches for compressor, expander & bright boost.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
