Description

Just recently acquired from the family of the original owner, this magnificent L-7 is a superb player bursting with charm & authentic vintage character. With a perfectly sculpted neck, this gorgeous archtop delivers a bright, punchy tone with silky smooth attack. It's voice is exceptionally powerful & projects like a cannon. All in all, a truly stunning guitar. Professionally set up by the experts here at Cream City Music with nice, low action & marvelous playability.

Cosmetic Condition: Incredibly great shape for being 75 years old! The guitar was very well-cared for over the past seven decades. Only typical, mild play wear & natural ageing with no cracks, breaks or repairs. Various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & weather checking. Overall the guitar has a wonderful look to it with a beautiful patina.

Neck: Semi-chunky maple neck with some nice flame figuring. Nicely aged cream binding with tortoise side-dots. Dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl double parallelogram inlays. Frets show a bit of wear, but have plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with old-style script logo. Kluson Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons in good working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & plays well up & down the fretboard.

Body: Solid spruce top in sunburst finish with dual F-holes. 3-ply binding on the top & back. Solid maple back & sides with lots of gorgeous flame figuring. 17" lower bout width & 3 1/2" depth. Nickel trapeze tailpiece with compensated rosewood bridge on a floating base & bound tortoise pickguard. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 5 lbs 11.9 oz.

Case: Original hardshell case included. The case is a bit tattered & worn, but still serves its purpose well.
