Description
A wonderful sounding, player's grade L-7C due to some cracks in the body, missing pickguard & unoriginal tuners. The guitar has a bright, rich, punchy tone that projects exceptionally well. Super fun to play & professionally set up ready to play upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: Lots of good, honest play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. There are a few cracks in the top, two long cracks on either sides of the body & a long back crack. All the cracks have been repaired except for the one in the back of the body. Overall the guitar has an authentic, vintage look & nice patina.
Neck: Chunky maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl double parallelogram inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Unoriginal Schaller Deluxe tuners. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & plays well up & down the fretboard.
Body: Solid spruce top in sunburst finish with cutaway & dual F-holes. 3-ply binding on the top & back. Solid maple back & sides with some pretty figuring. 17" lower bout width & 3 1/2" depth. Nickel trapeze tailpiece with compensated rosewood bridge on a floating base. Pickguard is missing & there are no electronics. Guitar weighs 5 lbs 1.5 oz.
Case: Modern Gretsch hardshell case included.
