An excellent player's grade Custom thanks to a pro refret, this gorgeous Black Beauty is a dynamite player with killer tone & looks! The double Pat No. humbuckers sound extraordinary & deliver muscular, yet dynamic tones. An ultra cool, true vintage vibe & superb feel make it a sure fire winner. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, dents & dings; scratches, light buckle rash & some mild finish wear. A small section of binding has chipped off the headstock on the treble side. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a nice patina.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Professionally refretted with medium jumbo frets, all in great shape with no wear. Gibson diecast tuners work perfectly. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Solid mahogany body with maple cap. Multi-layer top & back binding. Stopbar tailpiece & Tune-O-Matic bridge with gold hardware. Some of the gold has worn off over the years which only adds to the true vintage charm. Pickguard is missing & the guitar weighs 11.10 lbs.
Electronics: Gibson Pat No. humbuckers with black bezels. Both pickups are missing their gold covers. Dual volume & tone controls with black speed knobs; 3-way toggle switch. Both tone pots date to '81. The neck volume pot dates to '80 & the bridge volume pot is a replacement. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
