Description
An excellent, true vintage Les Paul that started out its life as a Deluxe, but was converted over to a Standard by the previous owner. The guitar has been refinished with a cool, trans brown top that shows off cool grain patterns. The original mini humbuckers were replaced with full sized ones & the tuners are now Schallers. Despite the mods, the guitar has a unique look to it with a great vibe, and thanks to a pro set up by us, it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear with an authentic vintage vibe - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear.
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. Original frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Unoriginal Schaller tuners & truss rod cover. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Solid mahogany "sandwich" body with 3-piece maple top that shows both plain & flame figuring. Unoriginal Stopbar tailpiece & Tune-O-Matic bridge. Single-ply cream pickguard & cream top binding. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 3.8 oz & is quite resonant.
Electronics: Unoriginal humbuckers with cream bezels & 3-way toggle switch. Bridge - 8.05K ohms; Neck - 7.28K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with gold speed knobs. Pots date to '89 & all electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Unoriginal hardshell case included.
