Description
What makes this guitar special: Not your typical Les Paul Studio, some of these early models featured solid alder bodies with maple necks, just like this gorgeous example. The slender profile neck is silky smooth & plays like a dream up & down the fretboard. The Pat No humbuckers sound magnificent & deliver warm, rich tones with sustain that seems to last for days. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds marvelous.
Cosmetic Condition: Used, but not abused with mild play wear - various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & some light finish chipping along the bass side of the neck from the nut to about the third fret. All cosmetic with no structural issues. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Unoriginal Grover Rotomatic tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Solid alder body with plain maple cap in Cherry Sunburst finish & cream binding. Stopbar tailpiece & Tune-O-Matic bridge with nickel hardware. Single-ply cream pickguard & nickel jackplate. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 12.5 oz.
