Description

A dynamite player with an ultra cool, true vintage vibe, finished in classic Cherry. The double single coils sound terrific & deliver rich, shimmering tones. Professionally set up & ready to play straight out of the case.

Cosmetic Condition: Good, honest play wear, typical of its age - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some mild finish wear. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a beautiful patina.

Neck: Nicely rounded mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Kluson Deluxe tuners with cream buttons. The D tuner is slightly bent, but still functions properly. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.

Body: Double-cutaway, solid mahogany body in Cherry finish. Tremolo tailpiece with newer compensated bridge. Single-ply black pickguard with white Melody Maker logo. Guitar weighs 5 lbs 15.3 oz.

Electronics: Two single coils with 3-way toggle switch. Dual volume & tone controls with black "top hat" knobs. The neck pickup tone knob is unoriginal & actually reads Volume in the silver insert. The bridge volume pot dates to '66, but the others are '65 & all electronics are in good working condition.

Case: Vintage chipboard case included.
