Cosmetic Condition: Lots of nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & finish wear - this baby was played!
Neck: Nicely rounded mahogany neck that gets chunkier as you work your way up the fretboard. Dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays & cream side-dots. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Kluson Deluxe strip tuners with cream buttons. 1 9/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-cutaway solid mahogany body with compensated wrap-around bridge. The tremolo tailpiece is missing. Single-ply black pickguard with white Melody Maker logo is still clean & visible. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 3.9 oz.
Electronics: Dual single coils with 3-way toggle switch. Dual volume & tone controls with black "top hat" knobs. Pots date to '65 & all electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Unoriginal hardshell case included.
