Description

We seem to be getting a lot of Melody Makers in the shop lately & here's an ultra cool double-cutaway, double pickup model. This beauty dates to '64 & sports a perfectly sculpted neck that plays great up & down the fretboard. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it plays & sounds fabulous.

Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear, just the way we like to see them - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some mild finish wear. Overall the guitar looks great, with an authentic vintage vibe & beautiful patina.

Neck: Mahogany neck that gets chunkier as you work your way up to the body. Beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays & cream side-dots. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Kluson Deluxe tuners with cream buttons. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.

Body: Double-cutaway, solid mahogany body with sunburst finish top. More modern compensated wrap-around bridge. Single-ply black pickguard with white Melody Maker logo. Guitar weighs a delightful 5 lbs 9 oz. Light weight & exceptionally resonant!

Electronics: Two Melody Maker single coils with black covers & 3-way toggle switch. Dual volume & tone controls with gold "top hat" knobs. Pots date to '64 & all electronics are in good working condition.

Case: Unoriginal chipboard case included.
