Description

Made for only a brief period from about 1975 until 1978, Gibson's Mark Series offered a variety of flat tops at a much more affordable price than their more well-known acoustics. Even today they are excellent budget-grade acoustics that play & sound great.
Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action, so it's ready for you straight out of the case.

Cosmetic Condition: Nice shape for its age & pretty clean considering it's 45 years old.
Various nicks, dents & dings; light surface scratches & mild weather checking. Overall a real beauty with a cool vintage vibe.

Neck: Semi-chunky, nicely rounded mahogany neck with mother of pearl dot inlays.
The fingerboard is very unique in that it appears to be rosewood in the middle with two strips of ebony on either side. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Old-style Gibson script headstock logo. Grover nickel tuners in good working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.

Body: Double-bound dreadnought with a narrower 10" waist & 16" lower bout width. Solid spruce top with asymmetrical rosewood bridge. Black pickguard & faux wood soundhole ring with double-line rosette. Rosewood back & sides with wooden end pin. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 5 lbs 7.4 oz.

Case: Unoriginal hardshell case included.
