Made for only a brief moment from the late '70s into the early '80s, this gorgeous RD Artist features active circuitry designed by Bob Moog with switchable bright mode, treble & bass boost, compression & expansion. Fully functioning & professionally set up by the experts here at Cream City Music, so it's ready to perform straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Used, but not abused with some typical play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & some buckle rash. The guitar is stamped a Second, but there are no issues structurally or electronically.
Neck: Maple neck with black binding & cream side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Frets are clean with no wear. Bound headstock with mother of pearl inlay. Gold Gibson diecast tuners & RD Artist truss rod cover. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Contoured, solid maple body in Ebony finish. TP-6 tailpiece & Tune-O-Matic bridge with gold hardware. 5-ply black pickguard & the guitar weighs 10 lbs 3.3 oz.
Electronics: Dual Gibson humbuckers with 3-way toggle switch. Dual volume & tone controls with black speed knobs. 3-way toggle switch for active circuitry. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included, however, the handle was replaced.
