Cosmetic Condition: Exactly what you'd expect from an over 60-year old guitar - lots of good, honest play wear with some road rash - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. The neck was professionally reset & the angle is now perfect. There's a very tiny, superficial crack in the back of the body just below the neck heel along with a small divot, which was perhaps an attempt at adding an additional strap button. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with an authentic, true vintage vibe & beautiful patina.
Neck: Wide profile, one-piece mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. The first five frets were professionally refretted & all the frets are clean with practically no wear. Kluson Deluxe strip tuners with cream buttons. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works great.
Body: Contoured, one-piece, solid mahogany body that's lightweight & super resonant. Wrap-around nickel bridge. 2-ply small black pickguard has shrunk/warped over the years & has a chip out of one corner. Guitar weighs a delightful 5 lbs 14 oz - Under 6 lbs!
Electronics: P-90 single coil with black "dog ear" cover - 7.18K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with black "top hat" knobs. Solder points on the pots are original & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original faux alligator chipboard case included.
