Description
An ultra cool player's grade SJ featuring a super chunky neck & bright, punchy tone. The guitar has had some work done to it - completely refinished with newer tuners & unoriginal pickguard & bridge. The bracing inside is more typical of late '60s Gibson acoustics rather than the pre-war style. Professionally set up & ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition overall - various minor nicks & dings; surface scratches & general mild play wear.
Neck: Super chunky mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl double parallelogram inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Unoriginal open-back tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 3/4" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & plays well up & down the fretboard.
Body: Slope shoulder dreadnought with 7-ply top binding & 5-ply back binding. Solid spruce top in cherry sunburst finish. Rosewood bridge with cream end-pins. Large tortoise pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Solid mahogany back & sides. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 4 lbs 1 oz.
Case: Unoriginal hardshell case included.
