Description
Made for a brief period from the late '70s into the early '80s, The Paul featured a walnut body & neck with ebony fingerboard & fitted with a pair of Gibson T-Top humbuckers. This one is from '79 & has a cool, authentic vintage look to is with badass tone to boot! Professionally set up & ready to rock straight out of the case!
Cosmetic Condition: Lots of good honest play wear, just the way we like 'em - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, buckle rash & some finish wear. A little chunk of the body was replaced down by the bottom strap button. There's also a filled hole along with an extra screw hole there as well. An extra screw hole exists near the upper strap button too. Overall the guitar has a cool look to it with a great vibe & nice patina.
Neck: 3-piece walnut neck with cream side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Nickel Grover tuners in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Contoured, solid walnut body. TP-6 tailpiece with Tune-O-Matic bridge. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 5.1 oz.
Electronics: Gibson T-Top humbuckers with exposed coils & black bezels. Bridge - 7.52K ohms; Neck - 7.63K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with black speed knobs; 3-way toggle switch. Pots date to '79 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
