Description

A very unique looking player's grade Country Club with some rather interesting mods - namely the pair of vintage P-90 single coils & double pair of "witch hat" knobs at opposite ends of the guitar. Despite its unusual appearance, the guitar plays & sounds magnificent, offering a rich, natural acoustic tone. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action, so it's ready to play straight out of the case.

Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. There was a black pickguard screwed to the top of the body, lower bout, bass-side that caused quite a bit of finish damage. We removed the guard to show the damage, but we're including it in case the new owner wants to put it back on. There's a route between the two P-90's that's been covered with a rectangular piece of black plastic. Overall the guitar has a really cool look to it with an authentic vintage vibe & beautiful patina.

Neck: Chunky maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & red side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl "thumbnail" inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with Grover Imperial tuners. 1 3/4" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.

Body: Single-cutaway, hollow flame maple body with bound F-holes. Multi-layer binding on the top & back. Unoriginal nickel Bigsby tremolo tailpiece with wire arm. There are extra screw holes in the bottom of the body near the strap button. Unoriginal gold Tune-O-Matic bridge on a floating ebony base. Black plexi pickguard with white Gretsch logo. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 0.8 oz.

Electronics: Unoriginal, vintage P-90 single coils with black "dog ear" covers & 3-way toggle switch. Dual volume & tone controls with black "witch hat" knobs. Unoriginal pots & all electronics are in good working condition.

Case: Original hardshell case included.
