Description
Small body guitars are in vogue right now & this lovely F-20 Troubadour is a wonderful example of the fine acoustic craftsmanship coming out of Guild's Hoboken factory in the early days of the company. The guitar has a light airiness to it that makes it so much fun to play & its small size makes it the perfect travel companion. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it plays & sounds great!
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some mild finish wear. Overall the guitar has a great vintage vibe to it with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard & mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Open-back strip tuners with cream buttons work well. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck was professionally reset. It is straight & the truss rod is fine.
Body: Double-bound, small body flat top. Solid spruce top with tortoise pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Rosewood bridge & cream bridge pins with abalone dot inlays. The bridge was professionally reglued & it has a bone saddle. Mahogany back & sides. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 3 lbs 12.6 oz.
Case: Original hardshell case included. The case shows some wear & tear & one of the "feet" popped off, but is included with the guitar.
