Description

A gorgeous sounding 12-string jumbo with a robust, shimmering voice that projects exceptionally well. The neck is very comfortable & plays great up & down the fretboard. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it's ready to play straight out of the case.

Cosmetic Condition: Pretty good shape actually considering it's over 50 years old - various nicks, chips, dents & dings along with surface scratches & some weather checking. There are a couple of top cracks near the pickguard that have been professionally glued. Overall the guitar has a nice look to it with an authentic vintage vibe & beautiful patina.

Neck: Maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with abalone triangles inside mother of pearl block inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with mother of pearl Guild & "G" logo inlays. Guild gold diecast tuners work great. 1 13/16" nut width; 25 5/8" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.

Body: Jumbo size body in natural finish with multi-layer top & back binding. Solid spruce top with black pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Rosewood bridge has been modified - the section surrounding the bridge pins has been carved out & the pins sit lower than they normally would, allowing for a much better break angle for the strings. This makes the guitar play exceptionally well. There are also three screws in the treble side of the bridge. Solid maple back & sides with an arched back. The guitar weighs 6 lbs 13.1 oz.

Electronics: After-market, passive under-saddle pickup with 1/4" jack/strap button. Looks like it might be a Barcus Berry.

Case: Modern Guild hardshell case included.
